These are the words of Brian, a troubled 18 year-old, growing up in the stiflingly small town of Hutchinson, Kansas. Plagued by nightmares, Brian believes that he may have been the victim of an alien abduction. Neil (Third Rock’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt), on the other hand, is the ultimate beautiful outsider. Wise beyond his 18 years, Neil is curious about his sexuality, having found what he perceived to be love from his little league baseball coach at a very early age. Now Neil is a teenage hustler, oblivious to the dangerous path his life is taking.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Scott Heim and directed by Gregg Araki (Nowhere) Mysterious Skin is the gritty story of two broken souls who cross paths and discover a horrible, liberating truth.
