An actor in a movie to be shown at the Strand Theatre in Britton this weekend has Hecla connections.

January Jones appears in the movie, "We Are Marshall," slated to be shown in Britton Friday through Sunday. Jones’ parents, Marvin and Karen Jones of Irwindale, IA, are formerly of Hecla where Marvin was employed by the school.

Jones is best known for her role as Alyson Hannigan’s sister in "American Wedding," the third installment in the "American Pie" comedy film series. A biography of the actress can be found on the Strand Theatre web site (www.strand-theatre-brittonsd.com).
