Note: Welcome to Year 3 of the NFL Total Access: Hollywood League , a star-studded fantasy football league created by the NFL Network. Each Wednesday during the season, one of the league’s celebrity owners will appear on NFL Total Access to discuss the league and interview an NFL player.

(Nov. 7, 2006) — For the first time in several weeks, there were no down-to-the-wire games in the NFL Total Access: Hollywood League. But while the Week 9 games were not that close, the standings are now as tight as ever.

One game separates first from last in the Tubbs Division, while three teams are tied for first in the Crockett Division. No team has a record better than 5-4, and the worst team in the league is only two games out of first place.

Some call it parity. We call it competitive excellence.

Paul Rudd’s Tastes Like Chicken won its third game in a row with a 91-72 victory against Guy Torry and Kellita Smith’s Faulk U, loser of three straight. Rudd has been riding running back Larry Johnson, who got 32 points for him this week.

Meanwhile, the hottest team in the league is probably Rex Linn’s T-Rex, which followed a 144-point effort last week by breaking Faulk U’s mark for most points in one week. T-Rex demolished Michelle Williams’ Bootylicious Browns, 177-71. Amazingly, T-Rex broke the scoring record despite getting only one point from quarterback Tom Brady. They got 49 from running back LaDainian Tomlinson and 47 from receiver Javon Walker.

In what has become the trash-talking grudge-match rivalry of the Hollywood League this season, David Boreanaz’s Dis ’n Dat beat Jeff Garlin’s Nipsey Russell 102-85 thanks in part to a 32-point effort from running back Kevin Jones.

And following the appearance of Nick Bakay’s Love Handles head coach Squirt Lurtsema on NFL Network’s NFL Total Access last week, the Love Handles won their second straight, 128-71 against Larry Joe Campbell’s Abattoir. The Love Handles already had clinched the victory, but got crucial added points when the Seattle defense racked up 34 on Monday night.

NFLTAHL Week 9 Results:

Tastes Like Chicken 91, Faulk U 72
Dis ’n Dat 102, Nipsey Russell 85
T-Rex 177, Bootylicious Browns 71
Nick Bakay’s Love Handles 128, The Abattoir 71
