Eonline.com Nathan FillionNathan Fillion - "Drive" Tv Series - 2 episodes remains after cancellationThursday 26 April 2007, by Webmaster Fox planned a short first season with six episodes. But it’s already over after four. "Drive" by Tim Minear ("Angel", "Firefly") and starring Nathan Fillion ("Buffy", "Firefly", "Serenity") premiered with two episodes back to back on a sunday and shifted the next day for its third episode to its usual timeslot (mondays at 8/7c). Episode four this monday was the last one. Fox pulled the plug. "House" reruns will replace "Drive" next week. "Drive" started with more than 6. million viewers, episode four was seen by 4.6 million viewers. You can read "Drive"-script on TimMinear.net!This is kida interesting, because there were a lot of changes in the editing. Cancelling the show after 4 episodes and around 10 days, after such an huge promotion campaign is a little strange. Couldn’t they at least air the two already produced episodes? Airing all six episodes and not picking it up for another season would be more dexterous. It wouldn’t seem so sudden. With "Drive" cancelled, there is no new drama of the season on the Fox-schedule anymore. "Justive", "Vanished" and "The Wedding" were cancelled and "Standoff" starring Gina Torres returns with the remaining episodes in June. "Standoff" isn’t officially cancelled, but airing the remaining episodes in the off-season (post-May) is very close to being cancelled, because the decisions about another season are made in May. Update: The two remaining episodes will air in summer. There is no airdate available yet. Keywords2 Forum messages |
