Blog.myspace.com Nathan FillionNathan Fillion - "Slither" Movie - James Gunn announces DVD extra featuresFriday 28 April 2006, by Webmaster SLiTHER DVD and More!! SLiTHER UK RELEASE SLiTHER is being released in the UK this Friday, April 28. Our reviews have been even better in the UK (?!!) than in the US, which is awesome. See if you can bring a few folks out to the cinema this weekend if you’re a Grant Grant friend across the pond. SLiTHER DVD Okay, we’re still waiting on the exact DVD release date. But, until then, here are a few of the extras you’ll get on the DVD — DVD commentary by myself and Nathan Fillion. Deleted scenes, including the infamous Grant Grant meat filing scene, Grant Grant’s speech to Brenda about how he loves to be human, "Starla and the inchworm", and many more. All these scenes also feature commentary. Extended scenes, including the full porch scene between Bill and Starla, Kylie’s more complete explanation of "The Long One," the full scene in the butcher shop with Grant Grant, and much more. These scenes also feature commentary. The Gag Reel — in which you can see just a hint of how many takes Elizabeth Banks screwed up by laughing. "Who is Bill Pardy?" - this was a surprise we made for Nathan at the wrap party, in which the cast and crew essentially roasted him. I asked Nathan if he was cool with it being on the DVD, and he was... so... watch us brutally make fun of him... "The Sick Minds and Slimy Days of SLiTHER" - A very in-depth, very well done documentary on the making of SLiTHER, featuring the whole cast and crew. I honestly couldn’t be happier with this thing. "Bringing SLiTHER’s Creatures to Life" - a documentary on the prosthetics and CGI effects in the movie. Also wonderful. "Slithery Set Tour with Nathan Fillion" - this is the much longer version of the little bit you can see online here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K3TVIYR87E At the end of this video, I say some of the crudest stuff I’ve ever said... and I can’t believe Universal left it in!! VFX Progressions, from start to finish, featuring kickass music by The Raymakers. "The King of Cult: Lloyd Kaufman’s On-Set Video Diary" - see the President of Troma Entertainment and the creator of the Toxic Avenger (and my old boss) find himself lost in the world of Hollywood with his cameo role in SLiTHER. "The Gorehound Grill: Brewin’ the Blood" - a short how-to-make-your-own-blood-and-slime video. As you can see, we’ll use up every nanobyte we possibly can on the DVD to give you guys as much SLiTHER stuff as you can get. I’m really proud of it so far, and am thankful to the Universal DVD folks who have given it their all. They’re very excited about the DVD, and I can’t wait. THE TROMEO & JULIET 10TH ANNIVERSARY DVD This DVD will be out in August, and includes interviews with the cast, crew, and more — including new interviews with my brother Sean Gunn, the amazing Debbie Rochon, the often-drunk Stevie Blackehart, the gorgeous Tiffany Shepis, and Valentine Miele, who stole the movie in the role of Murray Martini. The movie will actually includ FOUR (4!) COMMENTARY TRACKS!! This will include a fun new commentary track by Lloyd Kaufman and me, Lloyd’s original commentary track from the DVD, a commentary track by the editor Frank Reynolds — AND a commentary track done by me and my brother Sean right after completing the movie back in ’96 — this was a track Michael Herz wouldn’t allow us to put on the original DVD because he was afraid we would get sued by Lemmy, Valentine Miele, and others. After much searching through the Troma attic, Lloyd finally found it! The Tromeo & Juliet DVD will also be 2 Disks! MOVIEMAKER MAGAZINE Check out the new Moviemaker magazine on stands now - the one with Evan Rachel Wood on the cover - for an article I wrote about the scene where Kylie’s mother vomits blood onto her daughter’s face. I think it’s a lot of fun (note - the picture used in the article is not the actual vomit moment from the movie, but one of the earlier moments I refer to in the article). PEOPLE MAGAZINE This week, my wife Jenna is featured in People’s Most Beautiful People Issue (along with our cat, Andy). Congrats, Jenna (and Andy)!! Keywords |
