Nathan Fillion goes gagging at Starfury Serenity this week end

At Starfury Serenity in London yesterday, Nathan Fillion had an 8 or so minute blooper reel for Serenity he showed everybody. Read on to find out more about the weekends events.

The blooper reel - I’m assuming most of which has been shown will end up on the DVD - was absolutely fantastic. It’s very well put together, all credit to whoever edited it. It has a several minute section about how bad Summer is (which, by the way, is tongue in cheek), which includes conversations with Joss, Chris Buchanan and Nathan about recasting the role.

As to be expected, there’s many moments of Nathan being playful, Summer messing up her lines and Morna swearing. And yes, we have Nathan dancing.

Somebody does have a copy of the gag reel on DVD, however I’m unsure if it’s okay to distribute so it’s doubtful it will go online at the moment.

The actual Q&A sessions for the weekend have been fairly good. Jonathan Woodward has occasionally been a little drunk on stage, but this is nothing new.

Nathan gave a nice recounting of his Amsterdam premiere experience, which included visiting a coffee shop, buying things, reading Harry Potter and crying.

So, to all the other fellow Whedonesquer’s I’ve met over the weekend, recount your stories!

I doubt the whole thing will end up on dvd as it has a lot of swearing. Will try to find out if putting it online is allowed. The convention officially ends tomorrow so expect more reports then. About 800 people or so saw it - all credits to Nathan for arranging it.

ETA: random things from the last talk;

It is indeed morenas voice during the operative computer thingy.

It is joss voice over the "you;re the browncoats" bit in the vault.

Nathan voiced a reaver scream.

Nathan knows books history and Blue Sun history.

Jewel knows Inaras history.

The cast still think those tales will come out in some form.

Jewel is still pretty.

Nathan.. Bitch bitch bitch.

    When I got the Firefly DVD recently, was disappointed to see the gag reel was not the one that had been on the old DVD and was not as good. I was able to download the best bits, but hope this doesn’t happen to this gag reel. We want it ALL!!
