LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) "Newlyweds" stars Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson aren’t showing signs of breaking up. In fact, they’re planning to be together for at least two more years.

The singing celebrities have purchased a pricey condo unit at the Palms Place, which will be completed in 2007. The high-rise residential condominium and spa is the latest addition to George Maloof’s popular Palms Resort and Casino property in Las Vegas.

"George is going to have a two-story basketball suite which is down the hall from a multimillion dollar state of the art recording studio there ... so I’m there," enthuses Lachey. The fully furnished units don’t come cheap. Prices range from $500,000 to $7 million for the 600- to 7,000-square feet condos.

The 50-story Palms Place also boasts an enclosed, elevated, moving walkway connected to the Palms Resort, allowing its well-heeled residents to avoid the rabble weathering the elements.

Nick and Jessica recently finished their third and final season of the MTV reality show "Newlyweds" and are both recording new solo albums.

Simpson will display her acting skills, along with some skimpy hot pants, as Daisy Duke in the "The Dukes of Hazzard," which opens in August. She is also planning to launch a new clothing and accessories line in the fall.

Her better half will go solo with MTV for his own show this summer in "The Nick Lachey Project." He appeared in a recurring guest role on the WB’s "Charmed" and continues the magical trend by making a cameo in "Bewitched," scheduled for release in June. He is also attached to star alongside "Angel" actor David Boreanaz for the big-screen heist flick "The Hard Easy."
