For those who were concerned about the continued career of David Boreanaz after Joss Whedon’s Angel series was unceremoniously staked, fear not.

The tall-coifed hunk will take the lead in a romantic comedy called Mr. Fixit, playing a handsome cat who gets paid to fool women into returning to their ex-boyfriends. Naturally, he falls for one of them. A happy ending (the movie kind, not the Asian massage parlor variety) is expected. Darin Ferriola writes and directs, having gained experience on the subject with Soulkeeper, which was also about ancient evil.

About seventeen people will recall Boreanaz trampled similar ground with I’m with Lucy, which also starred the Bierko and the pretty Spanish kid from Y tu Mama Tambien. The same size audience should catch his next flick, The Crow: Wicked Prayer, which finds him listed below Edward Furlong and Tara Reid on the poster credits.
