Rutger Hauer

TV Line is reporting that Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins, Blade Runner) is joining the cast of HBO’s "True Blood" for season six.

According to the site, "Hauer will play Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason."

The 68-year-old Dutch actor has had his fair share of vampire experience playing Lothos in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Barlow in Salem’s Lot, Dracula in Dracula III: Legacy and Van Helsing in Dario Argento’s forthcoming Dracula 3D.

The sixth season of "True Blood" will premiere in June of 2013.
