Sam Jackson spills on THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA & THE AVENGERS on Fallon!

Hey folks, Harry here... I’m just getting ready to conk out for the night, and I got this email from a reader named Elliot that was watching Jimmy Fallon tonight, when Sam Jackson shared some coolness for us Marvel geeks to geek about. Here’s the letter:

Hi there,

Not much of a scoop but I was just watching Sam Jackson on Jimmy Fallon and he confirmed that he has one day to shoot on both Captain America and Thor. He didn’t know if the scenes would appear after the credits but that the purpose of the scenes is to "invite them (Cap & Thor) to the Avengers". I seem to recall Joe Johnston stating that Nick Fury wouldn’t appear in Captain America but it appears that has changed (probably after Joss Whedon’s rewrite?)

He also confirmed that the shooting of Avengers starts in April and he will be screen testing this week with a number of actresses (didn’t mention any names) for the part of his sidekick in Avengers who is "with him all the time." Wasp perhaps?

I haven’t heard any of this info confirmed anywhere yet and since it came from Jackson himself, I thought it would be best to send it your way.

SO - who could Nick Fury’s femme sidekick be? Elliot thinks along the lines of Janet Van Dyne, but frankly, I’m betting it’ll probably be one of the many female characters in the history of S.H.I.E.L.D. - there’s a lot. But who knows, fetishistically, which most appeals to Whedon, other than the fact that Joss does love kick ass females!
