Recently the good folks behind the upcoming U.S. remake of Ju-On (The Grudge) flew Jack and a slew of other online press people to the land of Gozilla and Hello Kitty for a visit to the set of the horror film. Wow. I knew they were big into getting the word out on their film, but flying online press people to Japan? Too freakin’ cool.

The precursor to the actual set report is now up on CHUD, which is mainly Jack recounting what it’s like to be a tall pale guy in the land of short tan people. Pretty amusing, actually, especially if you know what he looks like and can picture him amongst them in an elevator ala Bill Murray in Lost In Translation. I can, and it’s made my morning.

In other Grudge news, intrepid Buffy fan Brian was patrolling for all things Vampire Slayer and came across what you see up there, the first pic of Sarah Michelle Gellar on the set of The Grudge with director Takashi Shimizu. I have to say she’s looking a lot more healthy now that she actually has some weight back on here bones. Click here to check out a high-res version of the pic.
