The Ratings Connection

(To the tune of "Rainbow Connection")

When Chris Crotty is terribly moved, he does what any man would do — indulges his inner Weird Al. Be grateful you don’t have to actually hear him sing these things.

Why are there so many, Cares about ratings, And what’s the quality they hide? Ratings are numbers, They’re only illusions, And ratings do sometimes slide... So we’ve been told and

Some chose to believe it, But I know they’re wrong wait and see...

Someday we’ll find it, The ratings connection, Joss Whedon, the Executives, and me.

Who said that every fan Would be heard and answered When e-mailing to the network site? Some Exec thought of that, And some IT guy blocked them, And now we’ve got postcards to write. What show’s exciting, That keeps us all writing, That so more Angel we might see?

Someday we’ll find it, The ratings connection, Joss Whedon, the Executives, and me.

All of us under it’s spell We know that it’s probably magic

Have you shopped around, And have you had offers, I’ve hoped that they’re calling your name. Are these the same networks,

that showed Firefly and Buffy, I think TNT might also be game... We want the show too much to ignore them, There’s somewhere that Angel’s supposed to be...

Someday we’ll find it, The ratings connection, Joss Whedon, the Executives, and me.
