SEAN MAHER JOINS CAST OF LOCAL FILM

CHARLOTTE, NC — Dalliance Films, LLC is pleased to announce Sean Maher will join the ensemble cast of its first feature length project “Timing”, a romantic comedy with a twist. Maher will play Connor, the love interest of Jesse, a gay man whose romantic life is uprooted when his estranged son returns home in the middle of Jesse and Connor’s marriage proposal. Maher will play opposite Colin Ferguson ("Eureka", "Because I Said So"). "Timing" will be filmed in Charlotte where the story takes place and is based on actual events from the life of Writer/Director A. Blaine Miller.

Maher began his career as a stage actor, starring in renowned Broadway productions including “Into the Woods”. Nevertheless, he is probably best known for his role as Dr. Simon Tam in the Fox Film’s series “Firefly” and the Universal Pictures’ feature film spin-off “Serenity”. In addition, he has starred in several television series including the lead in the Fox Film’s series “Ryan Caulfield: Year One”. and the Fox Network’s acclaimed series “Party of Five”.

For Miller, filming in Charlotte offers an opportunity to highlight the city’s diversity and its potential as a film production hub.

"Having production companies here would do nothing but good for our economy, for Charlotte’s reputation, and make us more of a cosmopolitan area," Miller said.

Miller’s directorial debut, “The Last Confederate”, garnered critical acclaim including Best of the Fest - Drama at the Breckenridge Film Festival and Best Foreign Film at the Navan Film Festival (Ireland). He is excited to work with Ferguson and have him lend his comedic talent to the story. ###

“Timing” is a comedic feast about a gay man, Jesse, whose romantic life is uprooted when his estranged 17-year-old son returns after seven-year absence.
