Seth Green: New Star Wars Series "Isn’t Going To Suck"

Robot Chicken creator promises no Jar-Jar humor.

US, April 6, 2010 - For those of you who might be fretting a bit about the new Seth Green/Matt Senreich Star Wars animated sitcom, Seth Green, speaking to Variety, had a few calming words for fans following the announcement on Monday. "Let us assure you this isn’t going to suck as much as you think it is," Green said jokingly.

Green went on to say ""We can’t guarantee its excellence, but we’re swinging by the fences." This new animated show will not be a sketch comedy show like Green and Senreich’s Robot Chicken. Senreich said that the show will be "character driven" and may include crossover appearances from movie characters. Senreich also continued with "We’re on the same page as the fans, because we are fans."

Green then added "We’re not talking about Jar-Jar electrocuting his tongue. It’s not that kind of humor. If George (Lucas) would have wanted to make that version of Star Wars, he would have hired other people to do it."
