It’s here! For those of you who want your comics news from Comic-Con International, here are a few juicy tidbits to chew on :

Buffy the Vampire Slayer may be gone from TV, but she will live on in comics. Dark Horse Comics unveiled the cover for Buffy the Vampire Slayer No. 1, scheduled for February release. The book, written by creator Joss Whedon, is being dubbed “Buffy” Season Eight. It tells what happens to Buffy, Dawn, Willow and the rest of the Scooby Gang once they closed the Hellmouth once and for all.

Yesterday marked the return of Thor (above) to the Marvel Universe as Civil War No. 3 hit the stands. Civil War is a seven-part maxiseries that asks: Should heroes be required to register in order to use their powers to help mankind?

Over at DC Comics, Justice League of America No. 0 also debuted yesterday. The book reunites the big three (Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman) as they try to reform the Justice League.
