Clark uses X-ray vision and knows that Chloe’s body is not in her casket in the grave. Lois is confused about how he knows this.
Lois and Clark end up with a loft scene. Right after Clark is mooning over Lana.
Clark has a confrontation with Lex. "Does this mean you’re talking to me again?" Lex asks. "Only because I have no choice," Clark tells him. Clark tells Lex that he wants his help in finding Chloe. Lex asks Clark if he thinks raising someone from the grave is setting the bar a little high. Clark tells Lex that he knows Chloe is not in the grave. Lex responds with telling Clark that "the reason Chloe’s casket is empty is because there wasn’t anything left."
Clark asks Lex "Would you have given up this easily if it was me?"
Lionel’s goon, Trent, emerges from a molten sculpture. No, we’re not making that up!
Lex dials a phone and asks to "Get me Blye." Some fans have speculated that "Blye" might be a code name for Chloe, a reference to "Nellie Bly." "Nellie Bly was the pen name of Elizabeth Jane Cochrane, a pioneer woman investigative journalist in the late 19th century. She travelled around the world in less than 80 days which made her world famous and she also went undercover in at Blackwell Asylum posing as an inmate in order to expose the horrible conditions. She was kept there far longer than she intended due to a series of mishaps," Melisande has explained on the forum.
Lana visits Lex, who is getting dialysis. Lex doesn’t believe her when she says she thinks Paris just wasn’t for her. It also seems the condition Lex was left in may be permanent.
It sounds like Lex and Clark work together to find Chloe.
Clark talks to his mother about his doubts about trusting Lex yet again. And *Martha* sticks up for Lex. "Ever since he met you he’s been surrounded by things he can’t explain. I guess we can’t really balme him for trying to find the truth," she says.
It sounds like the episode’s conclusion will end with Lionel getting what he deserves. "I wouldn’t miss this for the world," Lex says.
There is a set listed for the episode called "Dr. Swann’s Metropolis Office." Sounds like to us, if Dr. Swann does not appear, then his office at least will! Curious...
