The conclusion of CBS’s disaster miniseries "Category 6: Day of Destruction" swept CBS to a ratings win Wednesday, although it couldn’t dislodge "Lost" from the top spot at 8 p.m.

For the night, CBS averaged a 10.8 rating/17 share to finish well ahead of ABC, 7.9/12, and NBC, 7.4/12. FOX took fourth at 4.7/7, followed by UPN, 2.9/4, and The WB, 2.5/4.

The conclusion of CBS’s disaster miniseries "Category 6: Day of Destruction" swept CBS to a ratings win Wednesday, although it couldn’t dislodge "Lost" from the top spot at 8 p.m.

For the night, CBS averaged a 10.8 rating/17 share to finish well ahead of ABC, 7.9/12, and NBC, 7.4/12. FOX took fourth at 4.7/7, followed by UPN, 2.9/4, and The WB, 2.5/4.

The Eye network also led among adults 18-49 with a 5.5 rating. ABC was a solid second at 4.9, and NBC and FOX tied for third at 3.4. UPN’s 1.9 edged out The WB’s 1.8 for fifth.

ABC’s "Lost," 10.5/16, kept its place at the top show at 8 p.m. despite competition from "Category 6," 9.4/15. NBC was a distant third with "LAX," 4.5/7. "That ’70s Show," 4.3/7, and a "lost" episode of "The Simple Life 2," 3.6/5, put FOX in fourth. "America’s Next Top Model" was fifth for UPN, beating "Smallville" on The WB.

"Category 6" improved to 11.8/18 in its final hour, dominating the competition at 9 p.m. "The West Wing," 8.2/13, was second for NBC, building heavily on its lead-in. ABC dropped to third for the hour with "The Bachelor: The Women Tell All," 6.0/9, while "Nanny 911" kept FOX in fourth place. "Kevin Hill" averaged 2.3/3 for UPN, a couple tenths of a point better than The WB’s "Jack & Bobby."

"CSI: NY" kept CBS in front at 10 p.m. with an 11.2/18. "Law & Order" averaged 9.4/15 for NBC. "Wife Swap" posted a 7.2/12 for ABC.
