Comicon.com Joss WhedonJoss Whedon - "Astonishing X-Men" Comic Book - Issue 01 - Sneak peakPulseJenC Wednesday 19 May 2004, by Webmaster Colorist Laura Martin has ended her work on CrossGeneration Comics’ limited series Negation War with issue # 2. She told us her reasons for leaving CGE and a little about her current projects. Marvel Comics has also provided THE PULSE with a preview of her Astonishing X-Men and Ultimate Fantastic Four covers. Laura Martin told THE PULSE: "Even though I was familiar with CrossGen’s freelance situation, I simply couldn’t resist the opportunity to continue working with Tony, Paul, and Dave. They are one of the best teams I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and we poured it on for the first two issues of The War." "Despite assurances to the contrary, CrossGen remained unable to meet its obligations, and it became necessary for both Randy and me to move on. I have high hopes of reuniting with members of the Negation team on something new and exciting in the future." "I’ve been fortunate to be invited onto some really impressive projects. John Cassaday and I wrapped up the first issue of Humanoids’ I Am Legion a couple of months ago, and we’ve jumped headlong into Astonishing X-Men with Joss Whedon. Riveting plot, sharp dialogue, and beautiful Cassaday art — I can say that it’s even cooler than everyone’s predicting!" "Planetary continues as well — in fact, I just received a batch of pages today! I’m also coloring some covers for Marvel, including Stuart Immonen’s Ultimate FF covers, which I am ’digitally painting’. That’s a whole new foray for me." "There are a few more things in the works, so I’m keeping very busy. I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead." MARVEL COMICS has provided THE PULSE with a sneak peak at the first covers of Astonishing X-Men and Laura Martin’s first Ultimate Fantastic Four covers. 1 Message |
