As you may (or may not!) be aware, a group of Andy Hallett fans going by the guise of the Nude Chocolate Lorne Society ran a wonderfully successful birthday project last year - Project Big 3-0H! The Project was received amazingly by Andy fans the world over and the NCLS produced a wonderful gift basket (detailed on Andy’s official site http://www.andyhallett.com), a huge collection of ecard signatures (almost five-hundred entries) and hand signed cards and a total donation of $300 to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

Not being ones to let the fun end there, the NCLS returns this spring with plans to assemble not one but two gift baskets.

The first, a ‘Lady Marmalade’ themed collection of goodies will be auctioned for the benefit of the LARFB. This basket is set to include items such as orange liquor chocolates, a few NCLS goodies courtesy of the Café Press online store, various spa products conforming to the silky-smooth theme and of course a copy of the Angel soundtrack - well, you can’t have a relaxing spa bath without unwinding to the luxurious voice of the talented Mr Hallett, can you?! The ‘Lady Marmalade’ basket will either be auctioned via the internet or at a fan convention around May time - no details have been confirmed as yet.

The second basket comes with a slightly broader theme: chocolate. We had to include it somewhere in these projects and seeing as Big 3-0H was heavy on the ‘Lorne’ we thought we’d concentrate of the ‘Chocolate’ this year! This basket, slated to include chocolate treats of all shapes and sizes (and you know, there are places in LA that offer an actual chocolate spa treatment!) including ships and school busses will be presented to Andy himself. While the theme is definitely of the sweet and edible variety there’s nothing to say that other, non-edible items can’t be included. On the NCLS posting board we’ve already had suggestions for fan-photo montages and doggie t-shirts for Leon (Andy’s Chinese Crested dog). It has now been confirmed that the chocolate basket is going to be presented to Andy at the Starfury event Not Fade Away in May!
