Summer Glau

Serenity comes to The Unit.

Anyone who has seen the Joss Whedon Firefly spinoff Serenity can attest to the fact that Summer Glau is one butt-kickin’ babe. She definitely got to showcase her acting chops there, and before that in Whedon’s Angel, but now she’s got even more chance to show off her range in CBS’ The Unit.

Last year’s best new show just got better with the inclusion of Glau, who plays Crystal, the fiance of a new recruit. For those unfamiliar with the show, it chronicles the life and times of an elite group of operatives (patterned after Delta Force) trained to be the first line of defense in the war against terror. The story follows the men on their missions as well as the ladies who hold down the fort back home.

The show airs Tuesdays at 9:00 pm, but if you can’t wait until then (and who can, really?), we present a number of lovely still shots of Ms. Glau from the show.
