They revamped the pilot but still something doesn’t quite work on "Tru Calling" (premiering Thursday at 8 p.m. on FOX). Eliza Dushku stars as Tru Davies, a woman who takes a job at the coroner’s office only to find out that the corpses have a pesky habit of talking to her. My major concern is that the premise makes Tru very annoying. How long can she convince people to do or not do something without telling them why ? But you know if this show fails, it will give Dushku time to reprise her role as Faith. Two and a half VCRs.
