"The Buffy Musical" sinks its teeth into Seattle on June 29-30, 2007

Thursday 21 June 2007, by Webmaster

Every so often I have to hit the pause button so I can get a few things done. This week I’m watching fall pilots so I won’t completely lose my shiznit when I head down to L.A. for my Season of Hell in July. As such, don’t expect to see much new stuff here over the next few days unless, for instance, Brian Williams gets mauled by a doe.

Maybe you should think about unplugging too, but there’s no reason to go completely cold turkey. You’re encouraged to buy tickets to "The Buffy Musical," a singalong in the tradition of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," which goes down at midnight on June 29 and 30 at the Egyptian Theatre, 805 E. Pine St.

You can show up in costume (or not) and sing the lyrics to the much-loved musical episode, "Once More, With Feeling," from the series’ sixth season.

The Buffy Musical started in Boston in 2004, and has since zoomed through Chicago and New York. Knowing the way Seattleites feel about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," I wouldn’t be surprised if we give other cities something to live up to. (Spies are encouraged to head down to Portland to check out the competition this weekend.)

Tickets are $12 and available by clicking here and changing the date to the 29th or the 30th.
