Dark Horizons is reporting that pop duo The Veronicas - the twins - are going to SHARE the role of Veronica in an upcoming movie based on the comic, Archie.

"the two twin girls in the band ’The Veronicas’ are going to play ’Veronica’ - they will share the role - in an upcoming "Archie" movie. They will also sing in the film - as part of the Archie band", they say.

You may recall that earlier this year, Archie comics took the girls to court over their band name. They recently resolved the situation though - deciding to "team up" instead. Looks like that first uniting might be the movie. (Which was recently rumoured that Seth Green might be playing Archie in).

There has been a couple of Archie movies. In 1990’s "Archie : To Riverdale and Back Again" Karen Kopkins played Veronica.
