Drive-tv.blogspot.com Tim MinearTim Minear - "Drive" Tv Series - Test Screening ReportTuesday 3 October 2006, by Webmaster I was just sent this non-spoilery report from bchboysfan, who has seen an early test screening of Drive a few months ago: It has been a while since I watched Drive, at least two months. I don’t know if I would be of much help, since I’m not really knowledgeable about really technical stuff. BUT, I know what I like, and I know what stood out about this show. What really stands out about this is the way it was filmed. The way it began, all these cars were on the freeway, and it was LOUD, and INTENSE, just as if you were right there in it. I almost believed that I was. AMAZING filming on the freeway parts, and others. Very tight up-close shots, of aggressive driving, and possible accidents, just crazy driving all around. The characters were good. Enjoyed seeing Alan Ruck and Brian Bloom, and another girl I recognized, but don’t remember from where (maybe Rose Red?). If you have already read the scripts, I’m sure you know how the story goes. So, all that matters is what I felt it looked like, right? Well, I guess the best way I could say it was ABSOLUTELY INTENSE. Kept me on the edge of my seat, didn’t want to get up for a moment. Not many TV shows out there like that, and I feel this really blew LOST out of the water!! If this comes on, they will have a run for their money. Sorry, don’t remember much about any music playing, they may have not had it on the version I saw. I remember the quality of sound was a bit scratchy at times, perhaps because it wasn’t ready for production, because it was erasing as it went, or if they were trying to deter from piracy, I don’t know. Hope that helps. Keywords |
