The title topped other popular licensed picks such as Doctor Who: Monsters and Villains, Doctor Who: Back to the Vortex, and The Lost Chronicles, as well as an unlicensed Serenity tie-in. The SFX Reader Awards 2005 are announced in the Christmas issue of SFX, currently available on newsstands. Eagerly-anticipated by fans prior to its release date thanks to some well-timed buzz on Serenity and Joss Whedon websites and an exclusive photo extract that ran in the Night and Day supplement to the Daily Mail, Serenity: The Official Visual Companion (Titan Books; $19.95/£16.99; ISBN: 1-84576-082-4) has sold more than 30,000 copies. Titan are pleased to announce that the book will shortly be going back to press for a record fourth time, and sales show no sign of slowing down as the Christmas season approaches. Released in September 2005 in both the US and UK, the companion features the full Serenity shooting script, production art and photographs, as well as a preface by Joss Whedon and an in-depth interview with him regarding the making of the film.
