In series premiere news, Fox’s Tru Calling generated minimal sampling with a mere 4.1/ 6 from 8-9 p.m. — 21 percent behind ABC’s Threat Matrix (#3: 5.2/ 8). Although a 5.2/ 8 is nothing to crow about, ABC’s philosophy of giving their new shows time to find an audience could pay off, particularly for their dramas. As for Tru Calling, no one ever said jump-starting a dead-in-the-ratings water time period would be easy.
