Truth or Scare Marathon No tricks, just treats ! The Discovery Kids channel and Michelle Trachtenberg are hosting a pre-Halloween Scary Saturday TRUTH OR SCARE-A-THON.

From 1 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 25 to 5 a.m. ET/PT on Oct. 26, enjoy a spooky Saturday night with back-to-back episodes of TRUTH OR SCARE. For fans who never miss a show, the scare-a-thon will feature brand-new episodes from 5 to 9 p.m., including an extra-special look at the true scary stories behind some of Halloween’s creepiest traditions.

Why do people carve pumpkins and wear costumes ? How did trick-or-treat get started ? The answers are more frightening than you might think. Other episodes in the marathon explore the history of witches, plus the eerie mysteries of Roswell, the Loch Ness Monster and the Bermuda Triangle. Hosted and narrated by Michelle Trachtenberg, who played "Dawn" on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this hair-raising series investigates ghost stories, legendary creatures, psychic phenomena and alien encounters.

After years of battling demons and vampires, Michelle knows a thing or two about creepy monsters and spooky places. Now Buffy’s little sister is taking kids to lore-filled castles in Europe and famous Hollywood haunts to learn the real stories that started many of the ghost stories that make our skin crawl and our hair stand on end. Once kids get the nitty-gritty details on the nether world and the scientists who devote their lives to chasing things that go bump in the night, they can decide for themselves whether these reports are TRUTH OR SCARE.
