From Serenitymovie.com.au FireflyUIP Australia roll out Serenity web promotionThursday 1 September 2005, by Webmaster Dear Browncoats You have been asking us for some time now how you can assist us with spreading the good word about Serenity. We have given it a lot of consideration and have come up with something we think will assist the film greatly - but just as importantly, we have now come up with a prize worthy of your collective efforts. How would you like to win two tickets to the LA Premiere of Serenity? We feel the website will be important to us in the task of getting consumers interested in seeing Serenity. So we aim to mount a promotion on the site where consumers can win a cash prize to help achieve their idea of "Serenity" (could be mortgage relief, a holiday, a cleaner, etc). The competition mechanic will require them to watch the Serenity trailer and answer questions on it. But getting consumers to the site will be an integral part of a promotional campaign we have devised for you. Your mission: to achieve exposure for the film Serenity and the website www.serenitymovie.com.au The parameters: How you achieve exposure for the film and/or the website is up to you but the following criteria will be taken into account when the entries are judged:- Validity of the campaign: to be valid, campaigns must be legal. The onus is on you to determine whether what you want to do is legal or not. An illegal entry will be automatically disqualified. to be valid, campaigns must have local relevance, i.e. be designed to reach the Australian market (we’re thinking in particular of industrious webmasters who might stage elaborate campaigns on-line which are mostly seen by people in other countries - if you do want to target on-line, might be best to stick to the major Australian portals) to be valid, you must submit via private message to username uipaustralia on the www.serenitymovie.com.au discussion forum: 1) a written overview of your campaign (must not be more than 100 words) 2) tangible evidence of your campaign (if that takes the form of photographs, you are limited to four only) 3) your contact details (name, address, daytime phone number/mobile phone, e-mail address - these details are not included in the 100-word limit). 4) the answer in 25 words or less (separate to the above) to the question: “What attending the LA premiere of SERENITY would mean to me”. Effectiveness of the campaign: We will consider such things as creative impact and reach. The judges: Will be a panel of three with two representatives from UIP and one person from outside of UIP. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Deadline for entries All entries must be received by uipaustralia no later than midday AEST on Monday, September 19 via the private message system on www.serenitymovie.com.au. Cost of entry: there is no cost to enter this campaign (execution may be a different matter - we remind you that any costs associated with the execution of your entry will be your responsibility).
