Whedon Says Yes to Chicago Convention

Buffy Creator and X-Men scribe Joss Whedon is to be the Guest of Honor for the Wizard World Chicago.

Taking time off from his busy schedule, Joss Whedon has agreed to be the Guest of Honor at this year’s Wizard World Chicago.

Whedon, best known as the creator of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” is currently wrapping up the final season of “Angel.” In 2005 he will be bringing “Serenity” to theaters, a movie version of his “Firefly” TV series scheduled to begin shooting in June. As if that wasn’t enough, he is also collaborating with superstar artist John Cassaday on Marvel’s “Astonishing X-Men,” one of the most eagerly awaited comic books of the year. Whedon’s other movie writing credits include the screenplays for “Titan A.E.” and “Alien: Resurrection.”

Joss Whedon will be appearing Saturday August 14th and Sunday August 15th at Wizard World Chicago.
