And judging by the upcoming deluge of suck head-themed pics - today’s eagerly-awaited release of 30 Days of Night among them - the occupation of Slayer doesn’t seem to be in danger of downsizing.

So with vampires reiterating their claim as the badass-iest of living nightmares this weekend, IGN Stars looks at the CVs of the great Nosferatu eliminators - from Buffy to Van Helsing, From Dusk Till Dawn to Vampire Hunter D - to provide aspiring hunters the necessary tips to ash vamps, and look cool while doing it.

Escalation in the war against the daylight-deficient is a major job hazard. You run, they fly. You bring a squad, they bring a horde.
