To say "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is a cult classic is selling it WAY too short. Definitely one of the most successful movie-turned-TV series of all time, this is the show that launched Sarah Michelle Gellar to stardom and gave the term "Scoobies" life beyond the Saturday morning cartoon of the ’70s. Full of pop culture references, quick quips and agonizingly great drama, this show was ahead of its time and beloved by its devout fans for its entire seven-year run. Yeah, it’s the story of a high school girl who finds out she’s the Chosen One and has to fight demons for a living, but it’s much more than your typical teen drama. It’s relatable, real, ridiculously clever, and just good old-fashioned fun that will draw you in from the first Xander-Cordelia exchange in Season 1. Groundbreaking for its time, it’s still relevant now. The show ran for seven seasons on the WB and UPN and all are available right now on DVD, so get slaying!
