Thousands believe it is worth more than being on paper, but others are too stubborn to let it grow again and continue on. And that tv people believe crap like Days of Our Lives is better to save than Joss’s stories and charachters is the saddest and most disgusting of all.Sunday 24 July 2005, by Chiron : Yes, go for it Joss - in whatever form. If the Internet had existed at the time, there would have been naysayers telling Tolkien "enough with the Hobbits & Elves already". And especially please ignore the June 25th comment ("anonymous"). The vast majority of your fans obviously "get" Spike’s story - the "hero’s quest/journey of atonement & redemption". Although I have yet to hear anyone have the nerve to mention that it was Buffy who set the "rough sex" tone of that relationship, & who wouldn’t allow Spike to love her & get close to her in the way he wanted. This is NOT a justification for attempted rape (see above re. "atonement & redemption") - so everyone can calm down. By the way, I’m a woman. If our love for this universe & the characters that inhabit it isn’t based on the fact that Buffy (the show) never played it safe or unconterversial, as well as an understanding of the depth & complexity of the themes, then why are we still following it & commenting on it?These comments are an anwser to this article : Joss Whedon - About Keeping Buffyverse Alive - Tvguide.com Interview
