They must have just thought no-one would ever be looking that closely at it, when it was used for "The Wish", and just wanted to make it look like a candid shot. Who cares? It’s still an actual prop whether that’s SMG or not. These comments are an anwser to this article : A Collection of prop photos from Buffy the Vampire Slayer sold 1.000 $ !!
