My daddy’s middle name is Owen, but he’s a Jr. so he goes by his middle name. When I found out my husband and I were having a boy, we decided on using my father’s middle name to honor him (I only have a sister, so he has no sons to "carry on" the family names). A lot of people seemed to dislike the name when I told them, but then I’d tell them it was my father’s name and they’d be embarrassed :).
