there is definitely much to be desired in this new spike set. there are so many episodes that are crucial to the character’s evolution, such as: "Crush", when Spike tells Buffy he’s in love with her,and "Beneath You", when Spike explains to Buffy that his love for her drove him to fight for his soul. The scene in the church has to be one of the most emotional, revealing, and raw performances of the series, not to mention the first time we see that Buffy could indeed reciprocate Spike’s love. Another episode fans of Spike would want to see is "Once More with Feeling", when spike gives Buffy an ultamatum in the form of a song which touches Buffy and ends in their first real kiss, because although we have seen them kiss a few times, it wasn’t real, whether it was from a spell, or spike’s dreams, we knew it wasn’t a result of Buffy’s true attraction to him.

Hello? - Crush, The Gift, After Life, OMWF, Smashed (Duuuh) - Wrecked, Dead Things (really big duuuh here) - As you Were ("Goodbye, William") - Hells Bells (yeah, it was Xander & Anya’s ep, but the best part was Spike telling Buffy how beautiful she looked & how hard it was seeing her, & her admiting to him that it hurt to see him with another girl) - Beneath You, Never Leave Me ("I believe in you"), Lies My Parents Told Me, Touched, Bring On The Night & ... lets see, the one where he dies for her ... oh yeah, Chosen. Anyone who doesn’t admit that this messy, tragic, beautiful, epically doomed relationship wasn’t by far the most intriguing storyline ever on BTVS is either brain dead, in denial or under 18.

Oops, scratch Bring On The Night - the one after Touched was End Of Days.
