You should really do your homework before you make yourself look any more uneducated in film. The only movies that you mentioned that even have a chance at getting some kind of recognition at all are Apocalypto and Pirates. Apocalypto may be nominated for such categories as screenplay...but won’t hold any weight with some of the heavy hitters of this year. Pirates may get some nods for effects...but that is it. Some movies that will actually hold some weight (and that I suggest you checking out) are: The Good Shepherd, The Departed, Goya’s Ghosts, Little Children, Dreamgirls, All the King’s Men, Flags of Our Fathers, Babel, Running With Scissors, and The Painted Veil.
