This is in general one of the best overview essays on BtS I’ve read. However, there are a couple of things puzzling me, such as .... it seems that the author hasn’t gotten past mid season five.

Faith, not dead. Spike:"Buffy despises him."....(umm, stay tuned). Cordelia, gone after season three. Anya, former vengence demon, not "goddess". And last but not least, I live in the U.S. & I adore garlic. :=)

When was this article written? In 2002? By the end of the series, Buffy no longer despised Spike. In fact, she was in love with him . . . although in a less frantic manner than her love for Angel. And two, Faith never died. Good grief!
