Sunday 13 June 2004, by Anonymous : AWESOME..... ...if it’s for real. Monday 14 June 2004, by Anonymous : Is this true?? Because it’s fantastic!!Monday 14 June 2004, by vj : THAT IS AWESOME! jeez...JM’s FINALLY Getting his major role in a movie. Sounds like someone finally saw how amazing of an actor James was. Good job, James, and I’m counting the days until your movie comes out!Monday 14 June 2004, by joey : finally. bout time he got his wish.Monday 14 June 2004, by Celtic Cat : My favorite actor in my favorite Shakespearean play. I can hardly wait.Monday 14 June 2004, by Anonymous : It will be released in about 2 or 3 years. Fuck Monday 14 June 2004, by Anonymous : How great!!!!! Congrats to him, will deffinately be seeing this!Monday 14 June 2004, by SUSAN : EXCELLENT...Macbeth is my favorite play, and im looking forward to seeing it..staring James Marsters, and will be worth the wait....Monday 14 June 2004, by Anonymous : I can’t believe someone’s got that much confidence in his as-yet-unproven directorial skills for a movie. I think it’s great, it’s just that what company gave him $50 million? I know that’s chump-change in the industry, but still a heck of a lot more than it cost Rodriguez to film the first Desperado movie (El Mariachi).Monday 14 June 2004, by David Collinson : Until we get confirmation of this huge amount of funding we have to be careful that JM has not been the victim of his own enthusiasm or of someone misleading him, for whatever reason.Monday 14 June 2004, by Pandora/Serenity : Wow, that’s so great! It is a high profile project - hope he’ll match the expectations that are surely connected with this. He’s an excellent actor but that’s such a huge project!? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for him and that it comes out great!!! Good luck, Mr Marsters!Monday 14 June 2004, by x_geek : Oooh i wanna see Amber Benson or Amy Acker as Lady Macbeth!!! Amy can pull off evil, and unless you have played Chaos Bleeds, you have no IDEA just how frickin evil Amber Benson’s voice can be. Both are terrific actresses, and James has worked closely with both of them, in and out of the Buffy-verse. I wouldnt be surprised, as the chemistry between him and Amy has been tremendous since his switch to ’Angel’, and he and Amber are really close pals and had brilliant chemistry in ’Chance’, which she cast him in. Monday 14 June 2004, by Pamela : What great news! It’s wonderful that he was able to get the funding. From what I’ve heard Mr Marsters has said he will write the script as well as star - he has made no mention of actually directing the project. Not surprised it will take 3-4 years, when you go independent, it takes time. Just happy that I will be able to see this in the future!Tuesday 15 June 2004, by Pandora : Could we be serious here? I mean - to be taken seriously he cannot choose someone from either the Buffy- nor the Angelverse... in my opinion (the only one I could take serious would be Amber Benson). What shall we think about Mr. David Collinson? I have my doubts as well and think one should consider this all being a fake... though I REALLY hope it’s not. But this sort of weirds me out because 50.000.000$ i-s an unbelievably lot of cash... sure, James has proven himself on Buffy and Angel, but that sure is of a totally different calibre than such project... Just keep that in mind and if it is proven that I’m just an old pessimistic gurrrl don’t be mad at me! Just one more - today was annouced that GotR is no more - would somebody do that without being sure about his future? Well, I don’t know... time will tell.Wednesday 16 June 2004, by nmcil : I have to agree with the "let’s wait & see" on the money issue. I sincerely hope that James Marsters does indeed get his dream for Macbeth realized and that he will not suffer a huge letdown from the money people.Wednesday 7 July 2004, by Cecile : I am so happy!!! I have been waitin’ for James to finally get something like this. I think the movie will boulder and I can’t wait to see it. Good luck and Congrats James!!!!!:-DThese comments are an anwser to this article : James Marsters will star in a movie of William Shakespeare`s play Macbeth
