This is a very interesting and insightful article, no matter what your political leanings. *prays for it not to be viciously attacked and ripped to shreds* (hey, it could happen!)

This was a pretty thought-provoking article. Nice.

Although: 141 episodes? Which three is the author not counting? I’m assuming "Beer Bad" and the one with the giant preying mantis, but what’s the other one? ;)

This was quite possibly the stupidest article in the world. Equating Bush and neocons to demons and Halliburton. As well as saying Tara’s dad was just like every other red state person; that just pisses me off. This is the kind of elitism that liberals like this writer promotes.

First off, it was people who didn’t want to fight communism that led to 100 million dying because of it. Capitalism may have flaws, but in the countries where it is practiced it flourishes. Try and convince me that Mao, Stalin, Lenin, and Castro were not Communists bent on bending the world to their knees.

Second, I don’t see Buffy either way in the political stream. But let’s talk truth. If she didn’t handle the baddies out there, who would? She tried to walk away from it and people got hurt. In the 90’s, people were living it up and terrorism was just a ’nuisance’. Flash forward to the 21st century, where policies implemented during the 90’s brought terrorism right to our door. The writer wants to say Buffy would rather reason with people, but she constantly sets herself up as the law of the land. Isn’t that a monarchy?

Third, I didn’t want to bring this up, but morality isn’t coming from Buffy. I love the show, but on a show where half the people sleep with each other and never get pregnant with foiur kids, don’t tell me you know about life and morals. Such actions have led to a lot of welfare kids in the Black community. But rich, white Hollywood types who can afford it don’t have a problem. Well, guess what: Most people don’t make over $500K/year.
