The difference could be from age (people seem to get thicker faces-maybe more fat cells?-when they get older, like in their late 20’s, early 30’s (look at the changes in David Boreanaz’ or Nicholas Brendon’s faces from the start of Buffy/Angel to the end of the respective show. Later they seem to lose that. I wish people wouldn’t be so critical of actresses (I don’t mean you, just people in general). It’s no wonder so many actresses are clinically malnourished. It’s sad. These ladies are human and as actresses have fragile enough egos. Then adolescent girls see these "perfect" images, and they try to emulate them. It’s scary, really.
