EPIC Inaugural Awards Dinner - October 2002 We held our inaugural EPIC Awards dinner in New York City on Tuesday, October 15, 2002. It was a smashing success. Leaders and celebrities from the worlds of politics, entertainment, sports, and the media gathered with us to toast the "culture changers" in their midst. The EPIC (Enhancing Perceptions in Culture) Awards recognize those who present positive images of women leaders in pop culture venues.

Why does WHP work with the entertainment industry? WHP recognizes the immense power the entertainment industry has to influence the public’s vision and to help Americans become comfortable with the idea of women at all levels of business and politics by portraying women as leaders in films and on television.
