Comingsoon.net Nathan FillionNathan Fillion -"White Noise 2" Movie - Comingsoon.net ArticleHeather Newgen Tuesday 21 March 2006, by Webmaster Brightlight Pictures and Gold Circle Films have just started shooting White Noise 2: The Light in Vancouver. The thriller picks up where the popular first film, which earned more than $91 million worldwide, left off. Nathan Fillion stars as Abraham Dale, an average, unassuming husband and father who, after the sudden and tragic deaths of his wife and child, discovers that he can "see" the impending deaths of those around him. He is haunted by the light that emanates from complete strangers and loved ones alike, knowing that this burden is too great for him and that, in the end, he is powerless to stop the destructive and inevitable path of the light. At a recent interview for his latest film Slither, which comes out March 31st, he told ComingSoon.net about the sequel. "Here’s the idea. I think we all know that in the first one, he was trying to receive messages through de-tuned televisions and what not from beyond the grave and in this movie, I have a near death experience. Yeah, CBs, TVs, anything detuned giving that static. In this movie I have a near death experience and it allows me to be the detuned receiver. I can see now the white noise. I don’t need a receiver of any kind. I can see it but no one else can. So now I’m crazy." Fillion joked, "You know, I go to work every day and I say, ’How do I save this movie?’ With ’White Noise 2’ I’m saying, ’Guys, the name. Let’s go Whiter Noise. Let’s go White Noisier. Still White Noise after all these years." He added that there are similarities to the first film. "Yeah, it’s all the same thing [The story line]. It’s just that I’m the only one seeing it and everybody else is going, ’Cuckoo.’ Which adds for tension. Tension. Drama? Tension. A little bit of comedy." Rogue Pictures will distribute White Noise 2: The Light in the U.S. The film also stars Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), is directed by Patrick Lussir and written by Matt Venne. |
